Learn how to use the CNC machine!
This first intro course will teach you how to use the software tools and set up the machine to make your first CNC cut. Matt will guide you through the process of the CAM setup and best practices for creating tool-paths as well as tool selection and the physical setup of the cut. This machine is complex and easily broken, so taking the course is mandatory to using the machine and even after taking it some help may be required, but you'll know how to keep yourself and the machine safe.
After taking the course, a "Check-out" is required. During the check-out you will need to demonstrate the proper startup, cutting and shut down processes safely. No special materials are required for the check-out. You will be supplied with a log-in for the machine after this check-out. Check-outs are booked separately after the course and at no additional charge.
