Instructor, Jeff Phillips:

As a constant question asker, I drove my mom nuts in the house and started spending time woodworking with my dad in the garage at 4 years old. Since then I have had a lifelong passion for all things woodworking and carpentry. Professionally I’m a mechanical engineer, and I’ve always come back to woodworking on the side. After learning about CNC machining and manufacturing in university, I further pursued this in my own shop with woodworking. In 2016 I started a commercial woodworking shop, and I started manufacturing children’s furniture for home use and schools. Unfortunately, with the rise of COVID in 2020 I had to sell my shop, and I opted to move to Victoria. My goal now is to learn as much as I can about woodworking and machining, teach what I know, and build the most incredible furniture I can for my spouse.
